Individual photos on Tuesday and P.E. kit

Individual photos on Tuesday and P.E. kit

On Tuesday the photographer will be taking individual photos of the children.

This is a P.E. day for many children, but I think the majority of parents would prefer their child to wear school uniform for the photo, therefore I recommend children come to school in full school uniform on Tuesday 22nd September, and we shall allow them to do P.E. in their uniform that day unless parents specifically ask for their child to change for P.E.

This way the children will look smart in the photo and we can still reduce the amount of changing of clothes in school, which we have introduced as a safety precaution.

One other thing I should tell parents in advance is that this year we shall be unable to have photos of siblings together. I understand that siblings of course mix at home, but the logistics of school arranging so many siblings from so many different “bubbles” to come together without the “bubbles” coming together would be too much for us to manage safely in the time we are allocated and able to use before the school hall is taken for other uses.

I am sure parents will understand this extra measure and I thank you for this.

Football Club for Year Six

Football Club for Year Six

For the last few years we have had two Hey with Zion fathers running a Year Six football club on Fridays after school, and I was concerned we may not be able to replace them now that their youngest children have moved on to secondary school. They did a wonderful job.

I am delighted that one of our midday supervisors, Miss Day, has volunteered to run a club starting soon and details will follow. Miss Day is a qualified F.A. coach. Her son, whom the others know, will also attend the club. I have stipulated a maximum of 14 Hey with Zion pupils, hence a group limit of 15 overall.
