Mrs. Patterson

Mrs. Patterson

Mrs Patterson will be self isolating this week, on Public Health England instruction. She has received a negative test and has no symptoms, but is required to stay at home due to having been contacted by the track and trace system.
She will be supporting the children’s work remotely, via Google Classrooms.
Year Six children will therefore have first access to the computers this week, and school will look to purchase a new set of class computers in case this sort of thing happens again.
Miss Light will be in charge of all of Year Six, with teaching assistant support, this week.

(I would not in usual circumstances divulge information about staff’s health but Mrs. Patterson has given me her permission to do so on this occasion to ensure nobody worries unduly about her.)

Walk To School Week

Walk To School Week

Next week, with St. Edward’s, we shall be having a “walk to school week,” which we hope will encourage active lifestyles and have an impact on traffic congestion around school.

We encourage children, where possible, to walk either all the way to school or at least a bit further than usual

Teachers will award certificates at the end of the week for children who have made a real effort to join in this project.

We aim to beat last year’s figure of 61% of our pupils walking either all of the way or further than usual.
