Morning Year 6 – your English work today is a comprehension about Captain Tom Moore, the amazing man who raised over £30 million for the NHS just before his 100th birthday. Read the text carefully before answering the questions. I would really appreciate messages or photographs showing me what you have been doing whilst you’ve been at home. I hope you enjoy half-term next week and that your parents / carers let you have a break from your school work.
Hello year 6
Your English work for today is to correctly punctuate the short passages that are shown on the attached sheet. It might be easier and clearer for you to re-write them. Don’t forget all the punctuation you have been practising this year. I look forward to seeing your work. 🙂
Good morning Year 6. It’s been lovely to catch up with some of you this week and to find out what you’ve been up to. I’m so proud of you all and I would like to thank your mums / dads / carers for keeping you busy.
On Friday 8th May it is the 75th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) day which marks the end of WW2. Normally there would be street parties and lots of other events taking place around the country to celebrate this special day, but due to the current situation unfortunately this won’t be happening this year. Mrs Machin has found some wonderful resources for you which are on this link and I know most of you were very interested in this topic when we did it earlier in the year.
Have a look at the activities which are interesting and fun and have a go at some before next Friday. If you are able to, please post a comment on here or email some of your work. Keep going!
Well done to Liam who made these cookies from the recipe Mrs Patterson posted on the blog. Liam – I hope you shared them with Charlie!
A little bit of SPAG & maths work to keep you going. Have you done your spelling test this morning? How many did you get out of 10? Remember less than 7 and you’re in Monday dinner for a re-test 😃
Hello Year 6 – thank you to those of you who have let me know what your interests / hobbies are so that I can pass the information to your secondary schools. Could you all please let Mrs Patterson or myself know how you are getting on with your home learning or what fun activities you have been up to. We are missing you all so it would be lovely to hear from you either on the blog or by email to: email@example.com firstname.lastname@example.org
A short comprehension about WW2. Read carefully and then look for key words to help you to answer the questions.
